On 4 November 2016, Xavier Lassale, Chairman of the MGI Supervisory Board and Jean-Louis Le Yondre, Chairman of the SOGET Supervisory Board, spoke at the 13th Collin de Sussy symposium in Bercy, Paris, on the topic of “Traceability and customs compliance for international goods flows.”

With a large audience of the highest customs authorities, including the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, they reminded participants of the key role of the Port Community Systems installed in almost all French and overseas ports. They emphasised the advantage of these PCS for all French international trade in general and for French Customs in particular, against the backdrop of increasing European competition. They also described the comprehensive, secure, confidential and reliable data transfers via PCS between the many private and public players in a port community, explaining that new generation PCS offering even greater performance and interoperability (Ci5 and S One) will soon be installed to replace AP+.
