Stéphane Salvetat was elected President of Marseille Fos Forwarding Agents Federation (STM) for a one-year term at the federation’s AGM in May. He takes over from Jean-Pierre Vigerie, President over the previous three years, who is leaving the profession after 40 years in shipping. Jean-Pierre Vigerie was Managing Director of TPS and was a member of MGI’s Supervisory Board during his term of office at STM.

Stéphane Salvetat is Managing Director of freight forwarding group and shipping agency LAM France (formerly Heritage International). LAM employs 11 people in Marseille and has a network of 41 offices, mainly in Eastern Europe and the United States.

As representative of STM, Stéphane Salvetat sits on MGI’s Supervisory Board, alongside representatives of other port-related trade associations that are shareholders in MGI: Marseille Fos Maritime & River Federation (UMF), Marseille Fos and Delta Shipping Agents Association (AACN), Marseille Committee of French Ship Owners (CMAF), Union of Marseille Fos Terminal Operator Companies (SEMFOS) and the Marseille Port Authority.

STM was established 128 years ago and now has 88 members. More details :
