Rémi Julien replaces Jaap Van Den Hoogen
A significant appointment for the company’s international development
Cargo Intelligent Systems (CIS) expert, MGI, today announces the appointment of Mr Rémi Julien as President of the Executive Board. With a 20-year career in strategic leadership and operational management, Rémi Julien will be contributing his international experience to MGI.
MGI connects supply chains using Ci5, an intelligent system for smooth door-to-door cargo flows and tracking. The company is already present in 13 port and airport communities and is witnessing strong growth thanks to its Cargo Intelligent System Ci5 and new mobile application. Mr Julien’s appointment at MGI confirms the company objectives in terms of development and Ci5 deployment in France and overseas.

Rémi Julien, aged 46, started his career in 1996 as a weapons engineer for the French Ministry of Defence. In 2001, he became Head of the Defence Electronics Industry Office in the French Directorate General of Armaments (DGA), before being appointed Senior Manager for Strategy at the Airbus group in 2003. In 2007, he joined SOFRELOG, an Airbus subsidiary specialised in maritime traffic safety and security, which he managed from 2009 to 2013. In 2014, he joined Orolia to lead various external growth projects, managing the McMurdo “Search and Rescue” Division. From 2017 to 2019, he worked as an independent transition manager on several development assignments for small and mid-sized French businesses.
Mr Julien replaces Mr Jaap Van Den Hoogen, who has been President of the Executive Board since 2015. “On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Jaap Van den Hoogen for the incredible progress he has led MGI and its clients through in the development of Ci5.
