Martine Renaud, Legal Secretary, Sylvie Lefebvre, Ci5 Product Manager, and Jean-Louis Paoli, Operations Manager, celebrated their 25 years of service with MGI on 24 May 2016 with MGI staff and members of the Supervisory Board, and Presidents of Marseille port trade associations. “In today’s ever-changing world, it is increasingly rare to celebrate 25 years’ work within one company, and celebrating 25 years three times over makes this an outstanding event,” said Jaap van den Hoogen, President of the MGI Executive Board in his speech.

Martine, Sylvie and Jean-Louis joined in 1991 when the company was still Gyptis, whose offices were located at 110 Chemin de la Madrague Ville, Marseille. Gyptis became MGI in 1998. They have all witnessed major technological changes including the Minitel and the Internet. They took part in the implementation of PROTIS, the first Port Community System used at Marseille-Fos port, then AP+ in 2005, which followed PROTIS. Today they are part of building the next generation Port Community System, Ci5.

Jaap van den Hoogen added, “Any company’s performance is based on its ability to innovate, customer satisfaction, its turnover and its reputation. When you look closely, it becomes clear that this is the work accomplished by all the men and women who work hard every day.” Jaap ended his speech by thanking Martine, Sylvie and Jean-Louis for their professionalism, upstanding character and relational approach over the past 25 years with MGI.

This event also provided the opportunity to inaugurate the MGI offices and the new entrance decorated with a fresco representing the MGI world, produced by the Marseille artist and painter, Benjamin Abou. MGI staff now enjoy the best possible conditions for working on the development of Ci5.
