Marie Pavesio, Marketing and Communications Manager at MGI, will be speaking at the 12thITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) European Congress on 20 June at 2pm, during the Freight and logistics tools session. She will present the topic put forward by MGI, “Making the most of the new generation of Port Community System”, which was selected by the European Programme Committee responsible for organising the congress.
MGI is currently developing Ci5, which represents the new generation of Port Community Systems. Ci5 goes way beyond what Port and Cargo Community Systems were able to offer in the past. New technologies associated with developments such as Big Data, IoT, smart containers and artificial intelligence have been used to develop brand new functionalities that will extend goods traceability in both the upstream and downstream supply chain, and provide better operational and strategic management for users. This means that Ci5 will speed up flows and increase port performance.
This internationally recognised event is organised every year by ERTICO – ITS Europe, a collaborative platform for ITS players across Europe. The four-day congress will bring together around 3,000 players from industry, research, public authorities, infrastructure managers and users, representing all smart transport system stakeholders who are working together to develop and roll-out the transport solutions of the future.
