
With the holiday season upon us, cybersecurity threats are higher than ever.
Friday 26 November was the official launch of Black Friday and a frenzy of online shopping. Sales are estimated to hit between $1,280 and $1,300 billion in a single month.
It’s really important not to give in to the holiday rush!
Before you place an order on a website, make sure you:
- Check that the “https” padlock icon appears in the address bar. This symbol guarantees that all private information is encrypted, including credit card numbers.
- Read the terms and conditions of sale to check who the payment provider is and ensure that they are reliable.
Finally, if you are a regular online shopper, we advise that you activate dual authentication on websites that offer it,
