Dear readers,

First of all, I would like to invite you to meet our team at the SITL International Week of Transport and Logistics from 20 to 23 March at the Paris Villepinte exhibition centre. MGI will be exhibiting on the Via Marseille Fos stand (J95). We will be giving you a sneak peek at Ci5, with a demonstration of our next-generation Cargo Community System that will be deployed in Marseille-Fos Port this September. The presentation will take place on 21 March at 4:15pm in Workshop 1.

Christophe Reynaud, Innovation Manager at MGI, will also be speaking at a session entitled “Artificial Intelligence in ports” during Maritime Day on Wednesday 21 March at 3:15pm in Room C. Don’t miss out!

For this newsletter focused on Ci5, we interviewed Jean-Philippe Salducci, President of UMF, the union representing Marseille port associations, as their members will be the first to use the new application. Switching from AP+ to Ci5 will represent a huge leap forward in innovation, catapulting the port community into a world of new technologies with smoother and faster goods flows and trade.

Alain Perez, CIO and Director of the Ci5 project, also presents a feature on the innovative principles behind the new CCS. Meanwhile, Christophe Reynaud explains how Ci5 offers a real response to the technological challenges of cloud computing, Big Data and IoT.

Until our next newsletter, keep up to date with all our latest news by visiting our new website and by following us on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

Enjoy !

Jaap van den Hoogen
