To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the French National Cybersecurity Agency, ANSSI, is hosting Cyber Festival #ANSSI10 in Paris on 4 June, bringing together all the big digital players the agency works with. Over 1,500 people are expected to attend. MGI has been selected to share its perspective at the round table event on cyber risk management.

In 2015, MGI was one of the first SMEs that ANSSI worked with to raise awareness of cyber risks. At the time, MGI was working hard on developing the Ci5 Port Community System which links up around fifteen logistics and shipping sectors, and was determined to take seriously information security and cyber risks, which are now one of its key strategic preoccupations.

ANSSI’s work on these risks, in particular through a serious game called Hack me if you can, encouraged MGI to set up an Information Security Management System (ISMS) certified under ISO standard 27001. This continuous improvement approach which has been in place since 2016 reflects the high level of protection for MGI solutions and services.

Developing strategic partnerships is also critical to data and systems security. MGI chose Thales Services, a recognised expert in critical information systems and a big player in the defence industry, to develop Ci5.

Dominique Lebreton, MGI Audits, Projects and Marketing Director will talk about how cyber risks are taken into account in our solutions, and the support of ANSSI. Ci5 was first deployed in Marseille Fos port last October. MGI trained over 1,600 users, who received input on information security.

The festival will focus on innovation, looking back over 10 years work by the French cyber world and ANSSI, and taking time to look forward to the next 10 years and the challenges of information security and digital trust.
